So your walking around with your new friend you met at school. You look at them and ask what they thought about the great Detroit Lions game last night, and they respond with "I hate sports, they are dumb.". I cant see how people can hate sports. Sports are probably one of the most important things in life, especially to younger guys and girls. Im not just talking about the professional sports, any kind of sports like a backyard football game with some friends. You see all around people talking about how Americans are lazy and overweight, and i think we should do something about it. Exercise is the best way to start, and just going to the gym and running and lifting weights can be boring. So if you can get some friends, go outside and play a sport!! There are many different kinds of sports and im sure everyone can find one that they can get interested in!!
Alot of people when they think of sports just think of a few big ones like football, baseball, basketball, or hockey. There are alot of other sports for other people to try, and they dont always have to be super competitive. Some of these sports are volleyball, tennis, badminton, or maybe even racquetball. Anything that gets you up and moving will help you burn calories and lose weight. Losing weight makes you feel alot better about yourself!!
Well the Detroit Lions play tonight. It will be their first Monday night game in 10 years!! With the Green Bay Packers winning against the Falcons last night the Lions will need to win to stay even with the Packers for the lead of the NFC North Division. The Chicago Bears are 2-2 on the season and not doing very well, while the Lions are coming off 2 huge come from behind wins. I think the Bears will play hard and lose a close one tonight keeping the Lions undefeated.

Big Blue!!
I have always been a University of Michigan fan, and the last few years have been tough with Rich Rodriguez as the coach because they have not done very well. This year with the new coach Brady Hoke in town things are looking up! The Wolverines are 5-0 led by their explosive quarterback Denard Robinson.
This week they play against Northwestern which is a team that is rising up behind their tough quarterback Dan Persia who could be a second or third round draft pick in this years NFL draft. But they should be able to beat them which sets up a big game against Michigan State University in 2 weeks. MSU has dominated U of M for the last few years, but i think this is the year that Michigan takes back over.
How about those Detroit Lions???? They are 4-0 for the first time since 1980!! Their quarterback Matthew Stafford was not even born untill 1988!!! I have always been a lions fan since i was little and i loved watching them on Thanksgiving. They have got beaten really bad the last few years but this year could be a very exciting game! The Lions play the Green Bay Packers who are the only other 4-0 team this year. Which could give the lions an early lead for the NFC North division.
Rain rain go away?? That has to be what both the Tigers and Yankees are thinking after two very wet games in New York where they split games 1 and 2 of the ALDS. The Tigers Closer Jose Valverde has Guaranteed the Tigers are going to win the next 2 games to move on to the American league championship against the winner of the Texas Rangers and Tampa Bay Rays, but i think its too early to make promises like that. Tonight is a big game with C.C. Sabathia pitching for the Yankees against Justin Verlander of the Tigers. Verlander was very shaky in game one but i think he will bounce back with a strong performace tonight!
